Palm Desert

 Hello Readers!!

This is Mia here writing this post😊! I am going to write what I have been up too in Palm Springs!

So far, my trip has been LOTS of fun 👍! A week ago my grandparents from Florida came to visit us. Sadly, they had to leave today....😭 We also went to the Living Desert Zoo. My favorite part was when we saw the meerkats (which I am writing an informational report in school about) it was a baby and it was so cute!😍

We went to Joshua Tree which is a National Park and got stranded there!! So, here is the story on how it happened... We had went to the park to go on a 3 mile hike it was really fun...! Until we got back too the parking lot and my mom realized that the trunk of our car didn't close automatically like it normally did. We tried to turn the car on and it only made a slight clicking sound. That was when we realized that the car had run out of battery, and not gas. It was like the whole car had just been like "i'm a cool kid. i'm outa here." It was sooo crazy! 

We met some nice hikers who helped us try to jump start our car with cables borrowed from another person! My mom didn't think they were doing it correctly and the car would not start. Guess what? There was no cell phone service in the area so we could not call the tow truck. 

My dad offered to run all the way to the rangers station which is about a mile from the parking lot. We had waited for what seemed like 5 hours.(and I snacked on Pirates Booty and oranges🕶which was basically all the food we had) And then after about one hour my grandpa decided he was going to go to the rangers station also! 

Then after another like thirty minutes we found some kind people who offered to help jump start our car, again. He put some sort of cable on both of the cars and then FINALLY the car started! We quickly jumped into the car and the kind guy that had helped us start the car gave us a quick reminder..... DON'T TURN OFF THE CAR WHEN WE GET TO THE RANGERS STATION!!!! That was very important because if we turned off the car we would be all the way back at square one again.  We made it home and now the car works just fine. 

Thats my Palm Springs trip so far!
